finally found a sub to ask this in So pretty much recently i found that, for example, if i wanted to see moskva, in russian its "москва", but like if i search up "mockba" in english, it will show up. why is this? i can search up murmansk as well, "mypmahck" or kazan, "ka3abh". Yekaterinburg, "ekatepnh6ypr", Yakutsk, "rkytck", Irkutsk, "npkytck", st peterburg, "cahkt netep6ypr", minsk, "mihck", and belgrade, "beorpad", give some searches of the city? i know things like you can search something up in korean, but in english and its just a string of letters like "asjnjbgriepl" but its actually some actor, just where the korean letters would be on the english keyboard, but like this is different? submitted by /u/yamatopanzer [link] [comments]

99. Position Tracking: To Track or Not to Track “Near Me” Phrases

Say your client is a dentist in Brooklyn, NY. You set Semrush to track from Brooklyn, NY. Is it better to track “dentist near me” OR “dentist in Brooklyn”? Do you track both? I fear “near me” terms are subject to more volatility visibility wise, and in order to best track my local SEO efforts I figure paying attention to “dentist in Brooklyn” will give me a better idea over time as to how my client performs in SERPs. If any well-seasoned pros have input, please share your thought process! submitted by /u/No_Suggestion3428 [link] [comments]

100. Instagram public photos and videos may soon appear in search engine results... What's your strategy?

Got a notice on one of our Instagram pages that public photos (from July 10th 2025) and videos may start to show up in search results. Historically, Insta and others have tried to block some search engine surfacing. What's your play as an SEO here? How are you going to mix in Instagram to your strategy? How do you think that figures into AI SEO? submitted by /u/coalition_tech [link] [comments]

102. Looking for feedback to improve conversion rate on my niche aesthetic e-commerce site (Korean-inspired mugs)

  • reddit.com language

Hi everyone, I run a small e-commerce site called Haneul Atelier, where I sell aesthetic mugs inspired by Korean design and culture. The site is getting some organic traffic (mostly from Pinterest, Instagram, and slowly from Google), but my conversion rate is stuck around 0.5–1%. I'm trying to figure out if the issue is with the UX, product pages, CTAs, page speed, or even the layout and copy. I've optimized basic SEO elements (meta titles, image alts, structured content), but still seeing high drop-off on product and cart pages. If anyone has time to take a quick look and share any thoughts — even small things — I'd really appreciate it. 103. When doing SEO, if my keyword research shows variations like 'photo booth rental' (80 searches); 'rent a photo booth' (20 searches); 'photo booth' (150 searches); and 'photo booth for events' (30 searches), do I need to include each of these exact phrases on my page to rank for all of them?

104. The 25 years SEO Experience guy!

  • 3 days ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Anyone know that guy who loves to shout he has 25 years of SEO Experience. I worked as a Media Buyer in 2002; a marketing director and mass emailer in 2005. All the stuff I did back then will not work today. Ive seen the internet evolve. If you took the best SEO guy from 25 years ago and put him here today he would be horrible. Experience is important but SEO and the internet in general is constantly changing. If your not evolving your falling behind. Your just another SEO company selling SEO and really just performing website management. submitted by /u/TheStruggleIsDefReal [link] [comments]

107. I came up with a new backlink building strategy, do you know if already existed before?

  • 3 days ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

These days I have been using a new strategy to get more backlinks, didn't test it too much but I got some results You already know HARO and how powerful it is to get backlinks from big domains. However, everyone here answers to journalists practically begging to them to include a new backlink to their sites and since this is usually free, they end up with their inbox full of emails making yours soo hard to be seen. So what I have been testing here is to do the opposite, instead of answering to journalist, be the journalist! Basically, I create a new query myself looking for sources = people looking for backlinks. Once I receive them all, I just build an article for each using their query and include a new dofollow link to their site, but here's the trick, since you don't want to hurt your domain with low DR links, all these posts will be created with robots = 'noindex' tags and the link won't be added to the typical /blog page - do not add any reference to that link in your domain, not even in the sitemap. Then we message them saying 'Congrats we liked your query so we included in one of our articles...' and send them the link- they will just look for the link to their site and check if it's dofollow, no one looks at the 'noindex' meta tag. Since you're providing value upfront to them, they're most likely will include a backlink to your site as well on one of those articles- you could politely ask them to do it as well. how does it sound? submitted by /u/Strong_Teaching8548 [link] [comments]

109. It Seems I'm Stuck With SEMRush

I have been working in SEO for over 15 years, and never used SEMRush due to the cost and being able to find and implement keywords without that expense. Now I am with a new company who has a year of SEMRush already paid for so it looks like I will be forced to use it. Are there any suggestions on how to get started with SEMRush as I don't see any value in it at the moment? submitted by /u/DatFooNate [link] [comments]

110. Need guidance on a tough SEO situation

  • 3 days ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Hi all, Last year, I hired a technical SEO specialist who worked with us for around 15 months. During that time, we created and published 50 blogs — but got zero traffic. While I understand that the nature of search is changing rapidly with AI, I honestly didn’t expect zero results. What’s been more frustrating is the lack of proactiveness. While I raised concerns and gave him feedback, I still gave him 2 more months to improve things — but instead of progress, our indexed pages dropped from 42 to 14. Now I’m genuinely wondering if he is behind this decline. Has anyone experienced something similar? How do I assess what went wrong, and what should I do next? Any advice would be appreciated. submitted by /u/sid_mmt_work [link] [comments]

I have been noticing AI Overviews showing up more often in Google search results and I am wondering if the clicks or impressions from these actually get counted in Google Search Console or not. 113. Google’s Latest SEO Update: What I’m Seeing So Far (June 2025)

  • 3 days ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Hey everyone, Looks like Google rolled out another search update recently (June 2025), and I’ve seen some movement across a few of my sites. Here’s what I noticed: Old, low-quality content is dropping fast AI-generated articles are getting hit unless they’re well-edited Internal linking seems more important now Local business rankings (map pack) are jumping around a lot If your traffic dipped, check Google Search Console and start updating older content. Also, clean up thin pages, it really helps. Anyone else noticing weird stuff this week? submitted by /u/EliasVane [link] [comments]

114. Hep Needed: Do backlinks to subdomains influence the DR or AS of the root domain?

  • 4 days ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Hello everyone👋 When a domain uses multiple subdomains (like x.domain.com, y.domain.com), do backlinks to those subdomains help increase the Domain Rating (Ahrefs) or Authority Score (Semrush) of the main root domain? Or are subdomains treated completely separately in these tools? Curious if anyone has seen any official statements, case studies, or real-world examples confirming either outcome. Appreciate any insights from the community! 🙏 submitted by /u/Victoria_zz [link] [comments]

116. Help Needed : n8n workflow to auto-publish content that ranks on 100+ blogs

  • 4 days ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Hey everyone 👋 I manage 100+ WordPress informative blogs and want to build an automation in n8n (Paid task) that can: Pull data (domain, credentials, keywords of ahrefs - I'll give) from an Excel/Google Sheet Use OpenAI GPT-4 API to generate: • 1000+ word SEO blog post • Meta title & description • H1/H2/H3 structure • Alt-tagged featured image • Internal links • EEAT-compliant tone • Embedded YouTube video • Relevant tags & category Auto-publish the post to the correct blog via WordPress REST API ⸻ 🔁 My Plan: I’ll keep adding new keywords to the Excel file for each blog, and want the workflow to generate and auto-publish SEO-optimized articles daily — across all sites. The setup should be easy to replicate as I scale to more blogs and topics. ⸻ 🚨 Why This Matters: I already have buyers lined up to purchase some of my blogs, but they require 5K+ traffic (Ahrefs) minimum — no matter the topic. So I’m trying to scale content + SEO traffic quickly via automation. If anyone has done something like this or can share templates, guidance, or best practices in n8n — I’d truly appreciate it 🙏 submitted by /u/edwardjohnson8383 [link] [comments]
