Why do some words in other languages like Russian when you type in romaji?

Say your client is a dentist in Brooklyn, NY. You set Semrush to track from Brooklyn, NY. Is it better to track “dentist near me” OR “dentist in Brooklyn”? Do you track both? I fear “near me” terms are subject to more volatility visibility wise, and in order to best track my local SEO efforts I figure paying attention to “dentist in Brooklyn” will give me a better idea over time as to how my client performs in SERPs. Anyone know that guy who loves to shout he has 25 years of SEO Experience. I worked as a Media Buyer in 2002; a marketing director and mass emailer in 2005. All the stuff I did back then will not work today. Ive seen the internet evolve. If you took the best SEO guy from 25 years ago and put him here today he would be horrible. These days I have been using a new strategy to get more backlinks, didn't test it too much but I got some results You already know HARO and how powerful it is to get backlinks from big domains. However, everyone here answers to journalists practically begging to them to include a new backlink to their sites and since this is usually free, they end up with their inbox full of emails making yours soo hard to be seen. So what I have been testing here is to do the opposite, instead of answering to journalist, be the journalist! Basically, I create a new query myself looking for sources = people looking for backlinks. Once I receive them all, I just build an article for each using their query and include a new dofollow link to their site, but here's the trick, since you don't want to hurt your domain with low DR links, all these posts will be created with robots = 'noindex' tags and the link won't be added to the typical /blog page - do not add any reference to that link in your domain, not even in the sitemap. Then we message them saying 'Congrats we liked your query so we included in one of our articles...' and send them the link- they will just look for the link to their site and check if it's dofollow, no one looks at the 'noindex' meta tag. Hi all, Last year, I hired a technical SEO specialist who worked with us for around 15 months. During that time, we created and published 50 blogs — but got zero traffic. While I understand that the nature of search is changing rapidly with AI, I honestly didn’t expect zero results. What’s been more frustrating is the lack of proactiveness. While I raised concerns and gave him feedback, I still gave him 2 more months to improve things — but instead of progress, our indexed pages dropped from 42 to 14.
