There is nothing more interesting in SEO then reading tips posted by a unknown SEO experts living in the deep and dark caves of subreddits. "Add human.txt file and Google will think you are a real human living in the browser" These kind of tips make my day :) SEOs share the craziest myths you heard about SEO! submitted by /u/ccrrr2 [link] [comments]
Feels like Google would be monitoring this. It’s AI certainly and OpenAIs certainly are. submitted by /u/Jumpy_Maple [link] [comments]
I was previously an in-house SEO for almost 4 years, and before that I was in web hosting. I've also freelanced part-time and done everything from SEO, social media marketing, to building websites, wireframes, and everything inbetween honestly. I resigned from my previous job because it was an absolute dumpster fire of a place, but the workload was manageable pending I didn't get my toes stepped on 24/7. I'm staring at some decent job listings from agencies in my city that I know are pretty reputable, and the salary is slightly more than I made in-house. These are senior SEO positions where I'm also expected to assist junior staff and so on. Agency will be great experience for me and a good way to network and make connections, but I've heard a fair few horror stories about the workload, office politics, management, so on and so forth. I realise not all agencies are the same, I am only speaking about what I've heard and know from people that've worked in them. I'm in my mid to late 20s and I am also seeking to further my career and I'm worried that getting bogged down in a specialist role again won't help me. I've got a degree in Data Science and if I want to explore this route, I may have to take a pay cut for a junior role that I'm not necessarily prepared for in trying times like these. Any advice for me? Any insight would be appreciated. submitted by /u/GringoTheDingoAU [link] [comments]
I just went to explore the SEO state of one of my websites (via ahrefs), and noticed a huge jump in the number of referring domains. Almost 3x in 3 months (~500 => ~1,500). Most of the domains are random names under the ".xyz" TLD. If I try to open any of those domains, I'm redirected to a sketchy website offering black hat SEO services (accepting BTC payments only). Apparently a competitor has targeted my website. I'd assume the target being my domain/website being punished by Google. I'm wondering is there something that I can do to avoid penalties from Google or other search engines? Thanks 🙇! submitted by /u/stanbright [link] [comments]
SEO is Search Engine Optimization. It's a subset of marketing. A way to bring targeted traffic to a webpage. Note the use of webpage not website. Anything else is in addition to SEO. I keep reading how people are trying to say how SEO is evolving but it's really not. It's a way to manipulate the search results to rank higher in the search engines for your choice of keyword phrases. Anything else is another subset of marketing Someone suggested SEO should now be called Search Everywhere Optimization. NO, that combines SMM and SEO. Social Media Marketing is yet another subset of marketing. Someone recently asked can I use AI SEO to increase my sales. Grrr. Marketers, including SEO experts, bring prospects to the sales department or sales page. The sales department or sales page turns the prospects into customers. SEO CAN increase sales by bringing traffic already interested in buying, BUT increases in sales are due to proper sales techniques and the use of sales psychology. Using sales techniques and sales psychology you can increase sales with the traffic already on the website. Yes I said website that time in case there's a separate order page on another webpage. SEO is Not Sales Marketing is Not Sales. These are three completely different skills to learn. submitted by /u/BusyBusinessPromos [link] [comments]
Hi there I want to build up backlinks, looking to do it in such a way where I set link to my content and you connect me to a 3rd party. submitted by /u/Technical-Sea-376 [link] [comments]
We've had our page, MiguLuna, since around 2023, but this year we started taking it much more seriously. The problem is that Google isn’t indexing our page at all. If you search for us on Google, you'll find links to our Instagram, YouTube, Reddit, etc., that all backlink to our site, but our Twitch page never appears in the search results — even when you click through the other pages that mention us. Interestingly, there’s another streamer named Migluna who has fewer followers and less content, yet their page shows up in search results. This is very strange and makes me think there might be an indexing issue with Google. Because of this, it’s very difficult for new people to find us online. If someone searches for MiguLuna, they simply can’t find our Twitch page, which is a major obstacle to our growth. any help fixing this issue would help us alot thank you guys. submitted by /u/Migu_mp3 [link] [comments]
I am building a design with quite a complex layout and it necessitates having two h1 tags, however only one of them is only ever visible, they have the same content and I toggle them using display:none as the viewport width increases or decreases. They are also both contained within a single
