Hi, im currently learning SEO. I run a swiss vintage and antiques Shop. I want to push branded vintage furniture, and i start with the brand "Horgenglarus" (very well known chairs and table manufacturer in Switzerland.) I decided to make for each brand a "category", even tho its not the normal category page. I insert relevant infos, relevant blog posts and products. https://bevintage.ch/brand/horgenglarus/ Here first one. Is that ok this way? Is there something im missing or i should be doing differently? submitted by /u/Important-Pudding-27 [link] [comments]
I am learning about SEO and read about the importance of the usage of tags and their hierarchy so Google knows what it's reading, such has h1, h2 etc. Is it the same rule for buttons tag? submitted by /u/cathy_erisonline [link] [comments]
Has anybody ever experienced this? I updated my Shopify website. I was using a golden rule suggestion to use a certain theme that would be better for SEO. Since that time which is a few weeks ago, I’ve only had one sale. And I think that sale was somebody local. The reason I changed themes is because of looks and because of the suggestion that it would help SEO. I don’t know what the heck to do or how to fix it. Any suggestions? submitted by /u/katkost1 [link] [comments]
Anyone else notice a drastic drop in traffic and impressions reported in GSC for yesterday? I run three separate sites and each of them saw over a 30% drop day over day. submitted by /u/bgap3446 [link] [comments]
Run a website and everything is running smoothly, however Google, Discover specifically, traffic is almost non-existent for one of the writers. Can Google blacklist one writer in particular? submitted by /u/AsahdKhaled [link] [comments]
Folks I've been genuinly wondering as to how is my SEO work going to get affected in case I use AI content..mind you generic content- I am working for SEO for an E-commerce website. For more context, it is a pharma aggregator selling medicines....so the data for medicines like Usage, Prescriptions, Dosages etc is already available. Do I need to write it on my own, i.e copywriting? Or is using Chatgpt for content okay? Not sure what should be done. Please guide. submitted by /u/Steve_Jacks [link] [comments]
I have created a tool website which I want to host on my primary hosting account. But the thing is that my two websites are already hosted there and I am using the north american servers in the hostinger as I want to target US audience. But for my tool website I want to grab the Indian audience and for that I have to change my servers to asia or India but as I said my websites are already there in the hosting. If I change the servers it will affect my two other websites. So what should I do in this condition? Should I host the website on other hosting, which is obvious but is there any free options? Is blogger.com a good choice for this as the tool is simple made up using html and javascript. submitted by /u/Comfortable-Bath-928 [link] [comments]
i run an a educational web tool for programmers, but as a webdev myself im not really a marketing/seo guy, so where can i find educational (in general) / tech blogs to collaborate? final goal is to get an article posted + build a relationship (get more users / backlinks) submitted by /u/blob53000 [link] [comments]
This has me stumped, quick rundown: The company has to have two websites for complicated legal and logistical reasons (Some similar products but I'd say maybe 80% of both their catalogues are distinct from each other) For the last years both sites ranked for the brand name's keyword at rank 1 and 2. In the last two weeks one of the sites no longer ranks for the company's name - nothing was changed on the site around that time Brand name is non-competitive whatsoever The non-ranking site has not seen any changes to the rankings in it's product keywords etc I've attempted to do some more internal linking and add the company name a few more time to the homepage, but to no success - I'm worried this is just Google thinking both sites are the same thing and stopping it ranking for one. I'm gonna get a lot of heat on this if it can't be fixed soon. Any ideas for how to get the site ranking for the brand name again? submitted by /u/wATERI1993 [link] [comments]
With Google rolling out AI Overviews and GenAI increasingly reshaping search results, I’ve noticed a shift in my own behavior, I’m checking Google Analytics and Search Console way less than I used to. Part of it is that organic traffic trends now feel harder to predict or explain. Traditional rankings don't seem to hold the same influence they once did, and it’s getting tougher to trace cause and effect like before. Curious if others here are feeling the same. Have you been checking your analytics less often too? Or maybe you've found new ways to interpret the data in this AI-driven landscape? Would love to hear how (or if) your habits have changed with all these recent shifts in Google Search. submitted by /u/DefiniteSEO [link] [comments]
I’ve saw several blogs about the llms.txt file (similar to robots.txt, but for controlling how LLMs interact with your site), and I noticed that even high-profile websites like Search Engine Land have started using it. is this something worth implementing? Have any of you added it to your site, and if so, have you seen any benefits or drawbacks? submitted by /u/Affectionate-Bag9144 [link] [comments]
My wife and I run an epoxy resin related business preserving flowers and sentimental items. Our main website caters specifically to weddings, but we’ve been working on a new website specifically for memorial/funeral preservations. Originally we had just one page on our wedding oriented website for memorials, and it makes sense to us to instead make a separate website for memorials since it’s such a different market. However, is there any issue with having this other memorial site have some similar products and product photos as our wedding website? The product names aren’t exactly the same, for example “floral shadow box” for weddings vs “memorial shadow box” for memorials. Some of the photos are the same, but not all. Could this confuse google and negatively impact rankings for both sites? To avoid issues, should I just try to use unique images for the memorial site? Any insight is much appreciated! Thank you! submitted by /u/That_There_Is_a_Bear [link] [comments]
When I search for something on Google and include my website's name at the end, Google sometimes shows an AI Overview that quotes content from my site. But instead of linking to my site, it links to a competitor. Has anyone else noticed this happening? Most of our traffic comes from the U.S. through Google Search, but for some reason, Google’s AI Overviews aren’t sending any traffic to us (because there are no links to our site in the AI Overviews). Could this be because our site is based in the EU, while our competitor is in the U.S.? Are there legal or regional differences that might affect this? submitted by /u/Alexandar117 [link] [comments]
Here's the text: For "top software companies," Google wants a rich, sortable list. Not a vague landing page. It rewards pages with: Logos & ratings Company size & price "Last updated" date Although Gary Iles made it clear that html structure doesn't really affect SEO as much, so how relevant and factual this advice is?? submitted by /u/Lucifer_x7 [link] [comments]
Hi there, I'm looking to understand how longitude and latitude-based CTR manipulation tools can be effectively used to boost local map pack rankings, particularly for mobile-based searches. More specifically: How can I integrate lat/long targeting to simulate local user behavior (clicks, driving directions, calls) from different areas within my service radius? Do these tools actually move the needle on Google Business Profile rankings in hyper-competitive areas? And most importantly — which specific tools or platforms would you emphatically recommend for mobile CTR geo-manipulation that actually work and avoid penalties? I'm focused on mobile repair and electronics services and want to dominate in GMB results across multiple cities with verified lat/long targeting. Looking forward to any high-level recommendations or case studies! submitted by /u/Former-Blackberry531 [link] [comments]
Hey guys, I am not an expert and I have limited experience with SEO. I am trying to understand the ongoing change in the field of SEO but so in my opinion is SEO is not evolving, SEO is dying. I know this is really annoying to hear, but AI is not something we have experienced before. I am not saying SEO will be completely obsolete but I believe the need for number of people will be drastically lower which means it will be kind of dead. I see new terms and titles such as GEO, LLMO or AEO. But I am not sure how these titles would work if Google keeps not using citation in a way that people would click. Yes, brand new SEO is important but will it create vacancies in companies? I don’t think so. I think ROAS for organic traffic will be much lower. Let me know what do you think and why SEO won’t be dead? submitted by /u/vitainpixels [link] [comments]
I ran an experiment on a small site (~100 daily impressions) where I published 10 blogs/month focused on 0-volume long-tails, but each tied to one high-volume parent keyword. After 4 months: Impressions: 100 → 600+/day Clicks: 0–1 → 5–7/day Ranking keywords: ~15 → 200+ Ahrefs showed no search volume for many of the long-tails, yet they drove actual impressions and clicks. So... is "0 volume" just bad data from tools? Or are we underestimating the real-world value of long-tail content? Curious if others have tried this and what results you saw. submitted by /u/shakti-basan [link] [comments]
Hey everyone, I’m experiencing a bizarre SEO crisis and could really use some insight. Over the past month, my site’s organic traffic suddenly dropped by ~90% (confirmed via Google Analytics and GSC). The weird part? Google is indexing MORE pages — indexed URLs increased by 20% during the same period. GSC Screenshot: https://ibb.co/jPWLy0zN Here’s what I’ve checked: No manual penalties in Google Search Console. No major tech errors (site speed, mobile usability, crawl errors are stable). No algorithm update timing (drop started mid-May, unrelated to core updates). and Backlinks/on-page content unchanged for key pages. My question: Has anyone dealt with a traffic nosedive while indexing increased? Could HTTPS migration cause delayed fallout? Any diagnostic tips beyond the basics? Thanks in advance — feeling totally stuck! submitted by /u/ahsanshahid00 [link] [comments]
Hi all, I have a genuine question. I work for an SEO agency and I am an account manager for 65 clients, and they said 80 is my max. Is this normal? I dont have the time to look at older campaigns and I feel so fking bad for some of my clients. I can handle it sure, but the quality? Not good. Is this normal to have this many? Ive looked at other job descriptions and it mentions 5-15 usually but would love to hear you guys thoughts on this.. Thanks submitted by /u/mewieeee [link] [comments]
