I have a 6 year old blog that I just started as a hobby but last couple of years been taking more seriously. I write primarily about luxury flights and have covered some of the world's best products with over 10 years of insights and experiences to share. My blog is doing ok but could be better if I had more backlinks If this is something that could naturally be linked from your site (ideally with at least a domain authority of 30+ ) please let me know. submitted by /u/faze3k [link] [comments]

Our page was usually in top 3-5 in search results, but using the same query phrase, it is dropped to the 3rd page on Google. No content has been changed, and it happened suddenly. submitted by /u/Mark__78L [link] [comments]

98. Does the quality actually differ from a backlink from a site in your country or outside of it?

  • reddit.com language

If their keywords are in the language you're shooting for it should be fine in my opinion. I get tons of traffic from other countries but have 0 backlinks from those countries. I think it's heavily language based and minutely country based. Open to thoughts submitted by /u/RegularSky6702 [link] [comments]

Hello 👋 I run a marketplace and i’m starting to do some link-building by outreach. My business clients are not locals, are international, tourists who will visit my country. I’ve been trying to understand what backlinks are more important: should i pursue local backlinks or international? Which will help build more authority and rank? 101. I'm Glad Keyword Stuffing SEO is Dead

  • 3 days ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I remember when the whole game was just to trick the machine. You'd see these AI-generated posts where a phrase like “best SaaS marketing tools” was jammed in 30 times, maybe even hidden in a white font. And for a while, it worked. But frankly, I'm relieved that game is over. For me, keyword stuffing always felt like the online equivalent of a desperate salesperson. It's like walking into a store and the guy just says, “If you want the best coffee mug, our coffee mugs are the best coffee mugs!” Enough with the mugs man. It’s exhausting, and it instantly destroys any credibility they had. I admit I learned this the hard way when we were buliding Mentio. Keyword stuffing sends one clear signal to the reader: we care more about the algorithm than we do about you. It breaks trust from the very first sentence. And that's the core of the problem. We get so obsessed with trying to figure out the algorithm when we should be focused on the person on the other side of the screen. I learned that people don't care about the tech under the hood; they care about their problem being solved. SEO is no different. Readers don't care about the keyword density. They just want me to answer their damn question. As soon as we started doing that, the results were obvious to me. New posts started getting indexed while the old, keyword-stuffed ones were dead in the water (we're actively removing them). In my experience, 80% of technical SEO is just delusion. So my new SEO strategy is simple: Don’t try to game the system. Be useful. Be clear. Be real. submitted by /u/biggywow [link] [comments]

103. Vanishing from SERP after only a week, please help!

Greetings everyone So here is the problem : About 3 weeks ago I created a website for downloading and streaming movies in Iran (yea you can download and watch movies and series for free in Iran since there is no copyright laws for foreign content), for the first week everything was fine, my brand-name got into the first page of SERP and my posts were getting fair ranks mostly in page 2 and 3. but suddenly and I mean I mean suddenly I lost all my rankings! My brand dropped to 30 and then to 70, and there is absolutely, and I mean absolutely, no tail to my posts in the SERP. However, they were achieving good rankings in the first week. My new posts are being indexed, and I have not received any messages or warnings from Google, nor have I been subject to any manual actions or penalties (that I'm aware of). I have only 13 backlinks. They are all good-quality backlinks mostly from websites like Medium. So my question is, What the hell has happened? my website is on WordPress and I have installed and configured yoast-seo and my robots.txt, and I have double checked everything! I have also created a DMCA and About Us and Contact Us pages. Can anyone help me out with this? Is this a honeymoon-sandbox period or should I be concerned? Maybe I should buy backlinks? Needless to say the field that I'm competing in (downloading movies and series) is a highly highly competitive field in my country but I mean I had some pages ranked in the first week but after that everything collapsed! Any kind of help or recommendation is highly appreciated. Thank you very much submitted by /u/aveni2 [link] [comments]

105. Buying old domains in 2025

  • 3 days ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Hi! I'm considering buying an old domain. It used to be a very active forum (2010-2019) and includes the niche name as keyword in the URL. Its Domain Rating (DR) is only 6, and it was previously used as a redirect to a site (2021-2023) in a completely unrelated niche. My own site is in the exact same niche as the original purpose of the domain. While reviewing the backlinks, I noticed a few solid links from old blogs, but also some low-quality links from index-type sites. Given all this, do you think it's worth acquiring the domain for 301 redirect purposes? What price could I offer for this domain (owner asked me what I would pay for it). Thanks! submitted by /u/exe188 [link] [comments]

107. Backlinks for Legal Website - Cost?

  • 3 days ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I’ve recently launched my law firm and been doing my best to learn SEO / Back linking. Been working on listing as many as possible for the obvious ones in my field. I paid for an SEO analyzer (not sure the term of art) to look at competitors back links and I was shocked in my field, workers compensation in California, how everyone was doing it. I think for now, my dollars are better served hiring an agency for back linking vs adverting for leads. Where to bring looking for an agency to do this? There’s some relatively cheap backlinkers on Fiverr. What’s the cost range on these services? I’ve been working my ass off putting up blogs content and I think Backlinks early would be extremely helpful. Thanks for the advice on costs / way to find reputable agencies for this service. Also, if you stop paying are the back links pulled? submitted by /u/fishmango [link] [comments]

For SEO professionals and site owners, this raises red flags. If users get the answer they need without scrolling, clicking, or even reading, publishers lose the opportunity for traffic, visibility, and engagement. What is your thought on this? submitted by /u/TechPuran [link] [comments]

110. Google Search Console "complains" about my non-www domain

  • 3 days ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

My main domain (for a small side project I've been playing around with) is www.subsavant.com -- and the apex domain points to the same site. Google Search Console reports 7 indexed pages & 7 non-indexed pages. But most of the non-indexed ones are simply the apex domain. Eg "http://subsavant.com" is not indexed because it's a "page with a redirect" (to https). Or: https://subsavant.com/sfw is not indexed because it has a canonical ref that points to a different page. In both cases, I think it's totally fine & correct... Though it seems to be presented to me as if there was an error or misconfiguration, so I'm not 100% sure. Am I supposed to "do" something? If not -- is there some way to tell Search Console to just ignore the non-www domain? submitted by /u/plainly_stated [link] [comments]

112. Tips on how to audit enterprise SEO

  • 4 days ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I need help. I applied for an SEO Consultant role at an SEO agency. 1st interview was with an HR. 2nd interview was with the SEO managers. I managed to get to 3rd interview where we need to audit in just 3 days and present it to their full panel of managers. They want me to give an audit of Tommy Hilfiger's website. My problem is this role is for mid-tier level SEO for smaller to mid sized businesses but given that they're asking me to audit an Enterprise is I think beyond my level of experience. I'm asking for ideas/thoughts on how to even approach this. Thank you. submitted by /u/TechnicalHoney12 [link] [comments]

113. Do you have a long-term plan for when search engines stop driving traffic?

  • 4 days ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

My traffic is going down more and more, and getting traffic from ads is not a viable option, nor will it ever give me enough traffic as before. I know there's social media - but like search engines, they can cut me off anytime. My primary source of income is from ads, and I do sell some small merchandise on my site but the builk is from ads. What are other people's thoughts? submitted by /u/Djbabyboy97 [link] [comments]
