Hello everyone, I have recently noticed a loss of around ten positions on my main keywords, and by digging into Search Console, I noticed a big change in indexing. 👉 At the beginning of April, I had: • 140 indexed pages • 87 unindexed pages 👉 Today, I am at: • 71 indexed pages • 238 unindexed pages That is to say a loss of almost half of the indexed pages, and a significant increase in the number of excluded pages. In detail, I have a lot of “crawled but not indexed” pages, a few redirects, “noindex” tags, a few 404s, and a 5xx error. I wonder if this indexing problem is directly related to the drop in my positions. Do you have any advice or avenues of analysis to explore further? Have any of you ever experienced a massive deindexing like this? Thank you in advance for your feedback 🙏 submitted by /u/Own_Reference2619 [link] [comments]

Hi All, Looking for advice.. or someone's experience on the subject... How much do you typically rent ad space for privately on your site? Let's say you have a sidebar which appears on all posts or something similar. I know this is niche and traffic-dependent, but I would love to hear some use cases, i.e. your niche, how much traffic you get and monthly rent for ads and the ad type :) submitted by /u/Justtheguygreen [link] [comments]

216. Need SEO advice for growing my supplement blog content – struggling to get Google traffic

  • 6 days ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Hi everyone, I run a niche blog focused on supplements and fitness. The goal is to grow organic traffic through SEO, especially for blog content like “best pre-workout stacks” or “how to take creatine safely.” What I’ve done so far: Using long-tail keyword research and writing 2+ posts/week On-page SEO basics: meta descriptions, headings, image alt text Internal linking between blog posts and product pages Submitted sitemap to Google Search Console Despite this, most articles are still not ranking in the top 30. Questions: What else should I be doing to promote or boost these blog posts? Would updating old content regularly help SEO for supplements? Any tips for building backlinks to blog content in a health niche without getting penalized? Open to all suggestions—trying to grow the site long term the right way. 218. Trying to make an SEO content studio + overall content support + (e)book layout and formatting startup in the midst of AI rising... I'm trying to make it worth it, but what do you think?

  • 1 week ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

As a content writer of 5 years—and someone who’s loved writing way before AI became prominent—I just started planning my long-term dream: building a small, human-first content startup. The idea is to offer steady, reliable blog content, content support, and even ebook formatting for businesses and agencies that need consistency and real strategy behind their words. Not just fluff or filler—but valuable content written with intent, nuance, and structure. I know we’re in the middle of an AI boom. But honestly? That’s why I think now is the time to build something like this. There's so much noise out there—so many low-effort, AI-generated blogs with no real flow, no context, and no understanding of tone or brand voice. My argument is: human intervention matters more than ever. Clients don’t just want content—they want trust, personality, direction, and the ability to connect. And while I use AI as a tool, I believe it’s not always the easy way out. For many, it’s the fast road to mediocrity unless it’s guided by someone who knows how to write, research, and think critically. So... I’m curious. If you were a potential client, would this kind of offer appeal to you? Do you think there’s still space for human-led content services like this? And if you’ve built a similar service—or if you’re also trying to stay human in an AI world—what helped you get traction? Appreciate any thoughts, encouragement, or even reality checks. submitted by /u/Aggressive_Thought27 [link] [comments]

220. Tips and advice to improve technical SEO and get website speed to 100? I can't get past the 90s in Google Page Speed Insights, Cloudflare and GT Metrix. What am I missing?

  • reddit.com language

Long-time lurker here! Hey everyone, I’ve been battling to get my WordPress site’s performance and technical SEO scores all the way to 100, but I keep stalling in the low- to mid-90s. I’m running: WordPress on shared hosting Cloudflare Free for CDN, DNS, SSL (Strict), basic caching Plugins: Hummingbird, WP-Optimize, Smush (free), Code Snippets Jetpack Boost for Critical CSS & lazy loading I’ve already implemented: Image optimization (WebP via Smush, manual size audits) Critical CSS & defer JS (Jetpack Boost + manual snippets) Full page caching + Cloudflare “Ignore Query String” cache level Browser cache TTL settings (1 year for static assets) DNS prefetch/preconnect hints for Google Fonts & analytics Removing unused CSS/JS (dequeue block-library, disable emojis & embeds) I’ve also tried: Enabling HTTP/3 & 0-RTT in Cloudflare Tiered caching & early-hints experiments Code Splitting via Async/Defer snippets GZIP & Brotli compression Tuning WP Heartbeat, REST links, oEmbeds Where I’m stuck: Largest Contentful Paint still hovers around 1.8 s on mobile. Total Blocking Time ~300 ms. Third-party scripts (analytics, ads, embeds) are unavoidable. My questions: Any clever plugin or snippet tips for further deferring or inlining assets? How do you balance third-party scripts without tanking performance? Are there any “gotchas” in WP themes or hosting configs that consistently trip up PageSpeed? Appreciate any and all suggestions—plugins, Cloudflare rules, PHP snippets, server tweaks, or even mindset shifts on what “100” really means. 222. ChatGPT Couldn't Satisfy Me, Could You?

Bru, I made a educational personal blogish type website. where i post, the intresting things which won't be found on the other websites, it was my thoughts into articles, I got fully benifited from the social media in terms of traffic and engagement. I have made 300 friends, who regularly visit my website atleast once a month, and they really like the content. Before few years when this AI was not a thing like as its today, I used to get ₹102 (approx. 1USD cpc)... I was earning small but it was good to see the progress.... but since few months, the cpc is ₹10 (0.1USD). I am thinking to target some high cpc content, as a side posting strategy... I have been a regular writer since 5 years now, framing my ideas into the words are very easy for me now (as I see English only in Books, Internet, and Keyboards). Ok, now the question. I focus on science or STEM feilds, and I will be a regular writer for that, now the main thing is that, can you help me to answer that question which I am goign to ask you but wait sec. I know I will tell the question, heres: What should I post aside, the type of content, which can get me atleast ₹102 (1 USD) cpc on my adsense portal. Thanks. Jai Hind, Jai Shree Ram. 223. japanese keyword - low CPC and competition

hey folks totally new to SEO, so apologies in advance if this is a dumb question so i've stumbled upon some japanese keywords - more than 50k search volume with commercial intent the CPC is $0.9 and the competitive density is 0.05 -- does this mean, it would be easy to run conversion ads that perform well? is this too good to be true or is this something common you encounter these days? submitted by /u/420juk [link] [comments]

224. Weired websites linking to our website

  • 1 week ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Our backlink audit on Ahrefs is showing a troubling trend: numerous links from suspicious, likely fake websites. These often serve as self-promotional ads for SEO services and, despite varied URL tags, consistently lead to the same external destination. The linked page itself contains only a hashed string, indicating a tracking function. Our main concern is the potential damage to our website's authority from these irrelevant backlinks, prompting questions about disavowal, their actual negative impact, and the motives behind their creation. submitted by /u/ZuesSu [link] [comments]
